By using langula.app and the Langula app for iOS and Android you agree to these terms. The provider is Thomas Harnisch (see the imprint).

Service

Langula provides a free, ad-supported language-learning service in the browser and as an app — with lessons, flashcards, grammar and pronunciation practice. There is no claim to constant availability; we may further develop, change or discontinue the service.

Account

You can create a free account to sync your progress. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and can delete your account at any time in the settings. Deleting your account does not end a running supporter subscription — cancel it in the App Store or on Google Play.

Free and advertising

Use is free of charge, and all learning content is available without a purchase. To finance the service, advertising is shown (see the privacy policy). There is no obligation to buy.

Supporter subscription in the app

In the app you can optionally become a supporter, with a monthly or yearly subscription. As a supporter you learn in the app without ads, can download courses with their recordings as an offline pack, and your learning streak is not broken if you skip one day a week (streak protection, in the app and on the website). On the website the advertising remains. All learning content stays free for everyone, with or without a subscription.

Purchase and billing are handled exclusively by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, whose terms apply in addition. You see the price in the store before you buy. The subscription renews automatically for the chosen period unless you cancel it in time before it ends — with Apple at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. Any right of withdrawal and refunds follow the rules of the store you bought from.

A purchase applies to one Langula account. One-time purchases from the earlier Langula app remain valid.

Acceptable use

You use Langula for personal, non-commercial purposes. In particular, automated scraping, circumventing security or advertising mechanisms, abusing the infrastructure and sending unlawful content are prohibited.

Content and copyright

The learning content, texts and design are protected by copyright. Reproduction or distribution beyond private use requires our consent. Parts of the content are produced with AI assistance and reviewed editorially.

Liability

The service is provided without any guarantee of specific learning outcomes. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

Changes

We may amend these terms when the service or the legal situation changes. The version published when you access the site applies.

Final provisions

German law applies. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder of the agreement remains effective.
